I can't believe it's here! June 3, 2005
Posted by vollenda in : General , add a commentIt seems like it was just yesterday that I signed up for the Danskin Tri and now it's just 2 days away. Time sure flies when you're having fun. 
Last night it rained on the way home but it was a light rain so it wasn't too bad. Just enough to keep me cool. My run was muddy though but fun. I rode to work today and hope to ride to REI after work for some treats. Maybe new cycling shorts? A new bag? A new water bottle? I probably shouldn't treat myself til after I complete the tri but, heck, I deserve a treat for all of those hours I've put in on the bike, in the pool, running. In wind, rain, heat, freezing cold. When I didn't feel like it. Instead of playing pool with my friends.
I am excited about Sunday. And just a little bit nervous right now. I'm looking forward to the adrenaline rush I'll have on that day. I remember how great I felt during my first century, how much energy I had, so excited. I know I'll feel that way on Sunday too. The only part I'm nervous about is overdoing it. During the century I was riding with a group and they reigned me in and kept me sane. Now I'll have to do that for myself. Hope everyone has a great weekend! Have fun racing!
