It's oh so hot July 14, 2005
Posted by vollenda in : General , add a commentIt was so hot last night on the way home! Still 99 degrees at 5:15. There were sprinklers on in a couple of yards that I passed and I almost jumped off my bike and went running thru them. But I was afraid someone would call the police to report a lunatic in their yard. 
I have to remember to put my water bottle in the freezer this afternoon because by the end of my ride, the water in my bottle was hot, hot, hot. Yuck. 
But I guess hot water is better than no water at all. I was feeling a little bleah/nauseous when I got home and seriously questioning my sanity.
Great run this morning…2 miles w/ a pretty sunrise…felt good and about the usual time. Ride to work was good as well. I am starting to get to know the regulars along my new route in the morning. The old man w/ a cane I see walking every morning. The 3 teenage girls who are always giggling at the bus stop. The young guy who always seems to have an umbrella even though we haven’t had rain in months. The couple who speed walk to Starbucks (I wonder if they are faster after their coffees/lattes ) And a few of the regulars who take the bus to/from work. It’s always nice to start your day with a sprinkling of Good Mornings.
