Bummed Knee September 9, 2007
Posted by vollenda in : General , trackbackKinda bummed this week because my left knee is bothering me this week. Luckily it was a cut back week (although when you aren’t doing very much it feels like cheating). I also cut out the Saturday run this week and the bike on the weekend. It feels stiff. Maybe it’s just old age? This is what I did this week:
Mon, Wed, Sat - Yoga/Pilates
Tue - 30 min run
Thu - 30 min run
Sun - 35 min run
Bike to work - Tue-Fri
Bike - 60 min on Monday
On a good note…I watched Tim and Bolder race IM Wisconsin today and that was very, very cool. Yeah Tim! Yeah Bolder! You guys rock!
I also went to the fair on Saturday and took lots of photos. Mostly of Barrel Races and the horse racing. You can see some over here on my photoblog.

Thanks Caroline
old? the hills are old and they get green year after year.. hehehe
is the yoga/pilates helping your core? or has it become a routine? just wondering…..
I am 80 % sure I am doing CIM in Dec 2. If I pull off 2 long runs I am going…..yea
Weez! Long time no read…. Sorry about your knee. Are you taking supplements for that? Some people are against them, but as I get old, I’m all for taking all the help I can get.
Take care of yourself!
Eric! How have you been? Where have you been?
No, I’m not taking supplements. At least not on a regular basis.
You take care too!
Well, I’ve pretty much taken the year off from Tri’ing and have just been living life. I’m doing well, but I am out of shape. I just started working out again and I’m feeling the consequences of taking so much time off. Actually, I did a couple of 5K’s this summer, but fell into a short but deep depression at some point, so it’s been a couple of months since I’ve done any significant physical activity. I’m getting back on track, so I thought I’d reach back into the community for some inspiration to start Tri’ing again. There are some amazing people out here doing some amazing things…. things that I want to do and be for me, as well. I’ll be in and out for a while, until I get full swing. Hopefully, I’ll take the time to blog something again.
There are some good joint care type supplements that might help with your knee.
We’ll talk to you again soon…..
I’m glad you are doing better.
Good luck. Don’t be a stranger!
